In this show, I will offer new images in an ongoing project to document the inscriptions left by migrants on the border wall as they wait, watch, and prepare to cross. The names, dates, hometowns and short messages suggest stories, gesture to the hopes and frustrations of people in the process of migration, and reveal aspects of everyday life in Tijuana and San Diego, a life that is well-known but largely invisible in public life and discourse.
